August 2012

Andie turned 3 this year!  Crazy I know.  Just the other day I was huge and miserable in the hot and muggy August weather of Arizona waiting for my little girl to make her grand entrance into the world.  It is now 3 years later... it is still hot and muggy in August, but a lot has changed in 3 years.

Andie is full of personality.  Everyone who knows Andie loves her and loves being around her.  She is so sweet and tries really hard to be good.  We are amazed at how smart she is and how much she loves to learn.  She is a gorgeous little girl and everywhere we go she gets so many compliments on how beautiful she is.  She is polite of course and always tries to say thank you!

She loves to read and ever since our friend Steph gave her a Fancy Nancy book when David was born she has been hooked.  So this year we decided to have a Fancy Nancy birthday party.

The birthday girl with her birthday breakfast which was white chocolate chip pancakes, blueberries, and bacon.  The bacon is always the first thing to go.  We decided to go with white chocolate chips this year because last year when I put milk chocolate chips in her pancakes she didn't want to eat them because she said there were "eews" in it.

Fancy Andie ready for her party guests to arrive!

Ty was nice enough to be our grill master.

Beautiful birthday girl.

Having fun on the slip n' slide

Maybe Becca should go out for synchronized swimming!

Great timing on this picture :)

Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun.

We had a pinata which was in the shape of a fancy purse of course.  No one could break it, so it was up to Uncle Ty to get the job done!

Gathering up all the candy.

Present time!

One happy little girl!

Her Fancy Nancy cupcakes.

3 years old I can hardly believe it!

We also celebrated my Mom's birthday in August.  I am always amazed with how much my Mom does for us and so many others.  She is a wonderful example of service.  I love spending time with her and so do my children.  In the front of their house my parents have a little section of trees which is now lovingly known as "the forest".  Andie LOVES going to "the forest" with her Nannie to explore and collect pine cones, which they line up on the front fence.  Thanks for always making our life better Mom!  We love you!
